When selecting a player to 'go after' there are a lot of misses. Dak Prescott (MSST) and Tony Romo (East Illinois) are two I can think of off the top of my head....but to have a player like that on your roster and they have to jump thru hoops to get released from your program and then sit out a year says a lot about TTU. Yes, they've made many bad choices (Mike Leach anyone???), but I would opine that this is at least in the top 10 if not top 5. JMO

When Mahomes chose Tech, there wasn't enough snaps to go around with him, Mayfield and Davis Webb. But, Coach GQ was a complete ass and took it out on Mayfield because of his daddy. Should have given the kid an immediate release IMO. He knew he was going with Mahomes all along.
