This is beyond upsetting. Just got thee stang cammed, slammed, and blown. I thought I was in the clear.

I do like using the snow plow on the 4 wheeler at me dads though. I think I'm going to try and make some sort of sled ramp off the back deck if we get enough.

Hopefully I'll break something and get some good pain killers.

Do any of you remember OCT 97???? and you are worried about a little snow storm we are "supposed" to get A MAYBE 12 inches??? give me a break and act like you got a pair. MY GAWD its Febuary and we are just now supposidaly getting snow. This is Nebraska right? (yeah I cant spell I AM dyslexic) BUT I am not affraid of 12 INCHES of snow. I remember the storm of 97. That was the only time while I was at the u they actually canceled daytime classes.

What made the Oct 97' storm bad was that the leaves were still on the trees and it was a wet sticky thunder-snow. The heavy snow (2 in per/hr) stuck to the leaves adding so much weight that the branches snapped and came down.

Streets were blocked, power was out for many, and there was a lot of clean-up to do.

If that storm had been two weeks later and the leaves had fallen, the only people who would remember it were the ones (me) driving back from Lawrence, KS after the NU/KU night football game.

That storm was "projected" to take a more southerly track across I-70 and be primarily a rain event for them. Omaha was only supposed to get a dusting or so. We left Lawrence after the 3rd Q (with a healthy lead) figuring we would beat it out of Kansas. We stopped at the Sac-n-Fox casino just south of the Nebraska border to game for an hour or so.

BIG mistake, as that decision made the rest of the trip home miserable coming up Hwy 75 all the way into my driveway.
I was driving an 89' Couger XR7 w/ rear wheel drive and not one gas station along the Nebraska Hwy-75 route had sandbags for sale yet. As a last resort I ended up buying about 14 cases of Busch Light at a gas station somewhere between Nebraska City and Plattsmouth just to add weight to the rear-end.
Visibility was fucked as well. The flakes were the size of half dollars and stuck to the front of the car. Every 10 miles or so I had to pull off the road, get out, and dig out my headlights.

Really the first and only time I've ever two-hand/white knuckled a drive.

I remember occasionally looking over at the chick I was with at the time and her eyes would be closed. I asked "How can you sleep through this". She said "I'm not sleeping, I can't bear to look, it's too fucking scary". LOL
