That's a shame. Might not would have played anyway due to injury, but obviously he's done something pretty stupid and violated NCAA edibility rules for a 4 game suspension.

This was posted in RBR comments late last night. This guy does have inside sources and is usually right.

 

If he is hurt in a major way the good news is that it's 4 weeks before the season starts, so that will give the team/line time to move people around and adjust to the loss.

Also gives 4 weeks extra healing time, and since he started last year as a true freshman, missing the time shouldn't hurt him too much as far as progressing as a player goes. He's not some 1st year starter needing time to learn and get up to speed.

So I guess that's a little bit of upside.
