Not the way USC is playing. Roth threw a complete game yesterday, Montgomery threw 8 innings tonight, Price threw 1. Holmes will go tomorrow and Roth will be ready for Sunday to re-start the rotation. The relievers are in great shape right now since they're resting.

Do you think Roth would start again on Sunday on only 2 days of rest if South Carolina can win the game tomorrow night?

Shit, I was thinking of this morning's game as being yesterday. :L
Weird to play 2 like this on the same day.

Hasnt he pitched on short rest before though? I know in CWS a couple years ago he pitched 1 1/3 in relief and then started the next day and pitched 9 innings. When do you think he will start then? Maybe game 2 or will depend on how USC would do in first game?

Of course USC is fresh. They haven't played in a month. What about South Carolina and Arkansas?

That's the cart before the horse. We have to win tomorrow, and Roth would only pitch once more if we get to the next level. Arky's Ace comes back tomorrow, and we have to find a way to score runs.

Holmes will probably start tomorrow. Hell, if anyone would pitch on 2 days rest it would be Roth. I wouldn't be surprised to see him start Sunday.

So you think that Arkansas pitching is going to cause Arizona hitters some pain and heartbreak?? :ss:

The only thing that concerns me for Arizona is their bullpen. If the starter isn't good that day, they'll have a tough time winning. Those bats can handle just about any pitcher, though.
