With my cable package, I pay about 31.95 a month I think it is and I can watch all the sports I want and that includes college football. You should ask about that either from Dish or another provider.

Does anyone have current experience with Sling? PlayStation Vue? other streaming suggestions?

Had Sling for a bit a couple of years ago. Switched to PSVue for better sports channels and never looked back.

PSvue lacks History Channel and Weather Channel, but I can watch History Channel episodes online for free just delayed a week.

PSVue sports channels are stellar IMO.

There are also 8 channels of 'ESPN College Extra' on PSvue, but I've never seen anything on them, so don't know what they are even there for.

They were loaded in an update a few months ago so maybe there will be something there once CFB starts up?

My Direct TV currently doesn't get ABC! Negotiations Issue. Crazy.

Next year, tell the phone ditzy from India that you will have a live cobra sent to her mud hut if she mentions the NFL.

That should straighten things out quick.

Again? They just did that 2 or 3 years ago. It was one of the satellite companies anyway.

Not too worried about it, but it is mildly annoying. I have the Direct TV Basic Choice option, so I rarely watch ABC anyway.

Best thing about going to streaming is you’re never under contract. If for some reason PSVue dropped a channel I had to have because they’re under contract negotiations I just switch to something else till they get it sorted out. Had dish network pull that shit on me with Fox cable channels and when I called to tell them to let me out of my contract they acted like I should feel sorry for them.

Cool! Thanks for the input!
I have PSVue also and it's perfect. Guide function is similar to cable, channel selection is awesome, and you have a big DVR and can even bunch up your favorite channels on the guide so you don't have to search through all the crap that you don't need. Unless something changes, I'll have it moving forward.

I'd also look at a digital antenna for the local channels. It comes in a little better and you have no delay like you normally do with streaming services. It's good for football season and you can get one for like $15.

You do realize that your wife was dealing with a tier one person right. Tier one anything in sales, customer service, etc. in any industry, are working off cue cards/sheets and know very little. They are required to ask specific questions, up sale specific things and know little else. Remember that next time you call your insurance company.

Do you have to hook up a Playstation to each TV in the house?

There are other devices to stream through other than Roku. That's what I started with so I've just stuck with it.

Did sling for a minute, lack of dvr capabilities soiled that though i hear they have one now but it is limited in hours. Had PS Vue for quite a while but then they raised their prices to be on par with DirecTV Now, switched to Youtube TV and Philo (bout to cancel philo now that YTTV has TLC the wife's must have channel)
PS Vue was awesome for their interface and DVR Youtube TV is just as good (better if you ask me)

As has been mentioned previously in this thread. If you stream a lot you need to look at the fine print of your ISP data plan.

We had to get rid of cox when they only offered unlimited bandwidth with their 150 Mbps over priced plan we now have gigabit fiber through century link for 65 a month which cheaper than cox :D and unlimited bandwidth cox was like 1-2TB a month which was too small when you have 3 TV's going almost constantly for the kids and what not.
