come on tilly be the ace
I said about a week and a half ago his dismal start when he couldn't get an out in the 2nd inning was alarming. Today is much of the same and our rotation right now is awful. We need pitching in a very bad way.
I can't imagine myself saying this until now... but would you swap Tillman's and Britton's roles in a pinch?
I would swap Britton with any of our starters right now. And I do many ANY!
Well, the problem is that there is only one Britton available... and who knows if he would actually be able to post a sub-4.50 ERA as a starter? Really, if I were Buck, I would seriously consider the last resort of playing every game as a "relay" (i.e. short start + many relievers)... since the entire rotation is performing at a #4/5 level (and no amount of trading or free agent signing is enough to reconstruct a five-man staff).
[Side note: To be fair, I don't think Tillman has struggled this badly since 2012. Could he be hurt...?]
They need Gausman to come up and start contributing now.

tilly has a leg problem everything is up . he is lucky to hit 90 mph if not for gonzo he would have gotten extra rest . i can see the need for a 6 man rotation . let gausman get 2 starts until johan gets a shot .I can't imagine myself saying this until now... but would you give Tillman's rotation spot to Britton in a pinch? (The closer role could go to O'Day during this temporary arrangement, I guess...)
