So simply due to dumb luck of the rotation we have a chance at winning a road series.

If Rodney doesn't blow one or more. Or the defense doesn't shit the bed multiple times in a game. Or if total team hits in a game isn't less than Zunino strike outs in that same game.

That park has been evil for the M's over the years, if I remember right.

Breaking that tradition would be a nice way to jumpstart this team and propel them into a better May.

Interesting that both Lomo and Ackley are sitting with a righty on the mound followed by two lefties the next two days.

Ackleys sitting? weird, injury? Lloyd just being stubborn and "not platooning" who knows. We did just face this guy and he shut down our offense pretty good. "shaking things up"

Ackley sitting is the least of the team's concerns, IMO. The difference between his "production" and whoever is chosen to replace him is pretty meaningless.

Morrison hit a home run for his first XB hit the other day, and since then, his OPS+ has actually dropped from 23 to 21 in the mean time.

So should they fire their hitting coach?

I remember a couple of Lou's teams where they had these issues and went through a few changes in hitting coaches. Even brought in a few guys just to help specific players. Don't recall that helping much, but damn it, Lou was doing something.

Seriously, is there really anything that can be done to help these dead bats improve? Or are we stuck with them until they find guys that can hit that are at least as good defensively as the guys they would replace?

crazy me for thinking this is what i'd see from walker in more than 1 game for the first month of the season

really hoping he's successful tonight, and that it's a catalyst for paxton to start pitching like he has great stuff, which he does.
