Well, not talking about the victory formation, the TD called back on the hit on Gardner, I've seen the replay a few times and I don't think Gardner was being passive. He looked like he was positioning himself to disrupt the play and therefore should have been fair game. I think the difference in the call was the fact that Redfield's hit was a blind hit. Onuwalu was in a perfect position to block Gardner and was directly in front of him. If Redfield didn't block him Onuwalu would have. Just my .$02.

PS, I don't mind the hit itself. Their mistake for keeping their starters in to get a cosmetic score with no time left and the game basically over.

They were Big Ten refs, they had to do something.

Haha ... I took this from the south end zone before the refs called that BS penalty. We'll just call this THE REAL score, before & after.

Yeah I wish Redfield hadn't made the hit so it would have counted but I agree he was going to try and make a play so it shouldn't have been called but at the end of the day the shutout was awesome 31-0 or 37-0.

My position is that if you let him wear a #98 jersey, there's a good chance he's going to get hit. There is a reason QB's wear certain numbers and linemen wear certain numbers. If you see a guy on the field wearing #98, he's going to get hit. They crushed Trumbetti (also # 98) earlier in the game, and no one cared. If Michigan wants to let their QB wear a lineman's number, fine, but he should expect to get hit.

^ Haha ... I thought the exact same thing when I got home and watched the game on TV. I understand they wanna 'protect' the QBs, but I thought that a pretty ghey call.
