We fell in AP and USA Today polls. My hunch is that we will be 11 or 12 in the Playoff Rankings.

The AP/coaches doesn't have any impact on the playoffs rankings....if that was the case we would have been 6th or 7th in the playoffs poll last week.

You guys let 2 meaningless polls bother you way too much.

It is impossible for us to drop when you look at the teams behind us. 11 & 12 are Georgia & Arizona who were both defeated. Baylor who beat a shitty Kansas team is jumping pass us.

We probably won't move up much more than 9 but no way we drop at all. A bad win is better than a good loss.

Looking at the AP and USA Today polls, ND is the only team that won and fell.

The other polls are meaningless but I think they are indicators to some extent. I think there could be some surprises in the next Playoff Poll. The committee may rethink ND at 10. They may think ND is now the 8th or 9th best team as you suggest, bksballer89; but I doubt it.

Point is Notre Dame isn't dropping unless they think highly of Baylor's impressive home win over a garbage Kansas team. Notre Dame will be 9 or 10 depending on if they how far they drop Ole Miss.

We will see the committe's ass this weekend if we beat ASU who should be 1 or 2 spots behind us at most after beating a good Utah team.

I'm curious to see if they move us or keep us the same if we win.

If we don't move up at all, it basically would confirm our status that we don't stand a chance to make the playoffs unless everyteam in front of us lose.

It doesn't matter Notre Dame just played their way out of the playoffs with how they beat Navy. Even if they win out they won't get in even if the one loss teams ahead of them lose any two loss SEC team will be ahead of them especially from the SEC West.

Teams have bad games....It happens.

Mississippi State looked like shit at home against Arkansas.

The overreaction to one game on here is fucking comical.

You guys shouldn't watch any more games this year since 1 game against Navy mean they will play this way against every other team on their schedule.

Get a clue

Where have you been? One game? I'm now looking at Navy, UNC & Stanford ... that's three games in my book where they looked 'unimpressive'.

I honestly don't think you can play your way out of contention with a win. The problem is that you need some impressive wins to move up. Right now, our only chance for a big win is ASU. The best scenario for us is to beat ASU, and then have ASU win the PAC12. That helps us, and takes the PAC12 out of the playoff.

Yes they do and others to lose. The problem is the only way to make a win against a below average team look remotely impressive is to beat the crap out of them. Notre Dame hasn't done that and didn't Saturday night against Navy.
