Much needed loss. Applause. If it makes her a better person and a better sportswoman it's worth it.

Shocking. Should have been a cakewalk. 2 Italians in the finals. Who could have predicted that?

It won't make her anymore humble. She's an arrogant beeyotch and a sore loser.
In the past when she lost, she always had an excuse.
It was always " I didn't " instead of "the opponent played better."

I agree about the past behaviour. In this one she was slightly better. Said her opponent played out of her mind (maybe in set two and three?) and she didn't play so bad.

What I couldn't stand in the past was how the tennis tv commentators would praise and foot worship Serena to be "politically correct" even though she had brattish behavior and far from humble. I got news flash for Mac bros and Evert and everyone else that had their own personal "agendas" for rooting for Serena to break Steffi's record: "Guys it's ok to dislike a brat!! Doesn't define you or make you a racist", just because Serena's hardcore nut fans might be offended by it. One person does not make up a whole race!

Don't think she could get to thirty. But she could get to Court's record. She retired at the top with the grace of a true champion.

Her and Serena are pretty much the same age.

6-8 vs Serena now =handled? LMAO

henin made her ascent to #1 in 2003. 4 of serena's wins came prior to 2003. another of serena's wins came at the 2010 aussie open final where justine was coming back after a 2 year layoff, and the match still went 3 sets.

in 2007, prime justine beat serena in 3 different slams on 3 different surfaces in one year. total domination.

overall justine was 4-3 against serena in grand slams. one of serena wins again was at the 2010 aussie open comeback attempt. 2 others were prior to justines ascent to #1 in 2003.

in justines prime years of 2004, 2005, 2006, serena went mia, and they never even played a single time.

justine was superior in every category with exception of the serve.

Are you serious? So you are bringing in the past. Most true tennis observers acknowledge that she has no peers when she is on her game and needs no excuses especially when you look at unforced errors. You don't win 21 grand slams in this era by being a slouch.

I don't think you know what you are talking about as usual. Stick to the PF. You do know she won her last GS who actually became a wreck of her own doing allowing Steffi to win over a petulant and over confident Martina Hingis?

Again, Justine cannot hold a candle to Serena for any dispassionate true tennis observer. Are you fucking kidding me. Serena the cheater is superior to Serena in her prime? wtf are you talking about? Serena came to the scene long before Justine Henin and only injuries (abdominal and ankle) prevented her from being the dominant player she was prior to 2003. It was Serena Williams who shellacked Justine Henin into retirement and oblivion. There is a reason Williams has 21 GS and still going and Henin retired with 7. No serious tennis enthusiast will ever mention Henin's name in the same breath with Serena.

serena is one dimensional, justine has the greatest "all court" game of all time.

2007, both in their prime, 3 slams, 3 different surfaces, justine wins all 3. beats both serena and venus on their home turf at the us open. that says it all. justine retired in 2008 ranked #1. hardly a shellacking.

"any true tennis observer?" lol. i have @ 50 tennis trophies sitting in my spare bedroom. you wouldn't get 2 games off me icon.

yup, and that was after steffi missed a good part of 97 and 98 with a near career ending knee injury. and in her final wimbledon, that year, she also dispatched venus. probably shoulda won wimbledon, too, but she had completed her comeback and was ready to move on.

Does PF stand for professional football?
