There is plenty of bad to talk about from yesterday so lets talk about the good. Everyone post what they thought was good yesterday. I'll start.

Here are the positives I took away from the game.

1.

The Defense did a damn good job against one of the best offensive units in the league. They definitely played well enough to keep us in it.

Well i wasnt expecting the lions to win in gb so wasnt surprised when they lost. They definitely will not win in gb when their number cj and burleson are out. Silver lining? Akers actually hit a long fg.

Since the air in GB already stinks like shit from the nearby paper mills perhaps its a positive that the city doesnt smell any worse today than it did before the Lions crapped all over the field yesterday.

Levy continues to impress this season. He's been the most improved player on our defense from last year by a wide margin.

Bill Bently was better yesterday than I expected him to be as well... I thought Rodgers would pick on him all day, but he held up well overall. Hopefully that's a sign that he's improving week by week...

According to Amanda so are your herpes blisters but that doesnt mean you are safe to visit the bath houses again.

I sure dont want to rely on Bentley to cover Josh Gordon any more than you should rely on your Valtrex to control your diseased junk.

yeah that was a great line but there were definitely some positives.

akers hitting some big long FGs was great to see

and the defense was great yesterday 6-3 in the first half was amazing.
green bay had the ball for almost 20 out of 30 minutes and we held them to 6!

hell even after the TD we went into the 4th quarter only down 13.
if the offense could have moved the ball consistently we would have had points on the board and been able to get more pressure on rodgers.

yes without calvin the sky falls and the season is doomed and this week sucked packer balls but i am going to hold onto the fact that the defense held them to 6 points to stay out of the depression.

I got a good nap in from 2:30-4:00. Never would have happened if we had played offense.

Zing! It turned out to be the clap, actually, so you should probably let Cindy know so she can get the right shots to clear that up...

Bentley won't be matched up on Gordon- that honor will go to Houston or Mathis depending on where he lines up, assuming he's on the outside of the formation. I guess Bentley will be on him when he's in the slot.

All in all I think our secondary preformed well against a very good QB and passing attack. There was a big broken play, but it seems like the rest of the long completions were all great trows and catches against some pretty tight coverage.

Our defense might not be a top-ten unit, but they're certainly a lot better than they have been in recent years.

We got a good look at the talent level of our #3 through #6 receivers. They all gained some valuable experience. The wrs should also appreciate how much easier thier job is when CJ is in the lineup.

Levy continues to impress this season. He's been the most improved player on our defense from last year by a wide margin.

It's because he finally has a real DE playing in front of him and not KVB who lined up 5 yards off the LT, leaving Levy all alone like Tom Hanks left Wilson.

Good point- having big, mauling DEs on each end should make life much easier for our LBs.

You can see Levy's confidence growing with each game though. He's finally putting his physical gifts to good use on the field. I think we're primed for a good run on the defensive side if we can keep this group together...

Wellllll

Needless to say I thought this would be a shootout! I thought the Broncos and Cowboys game would have looked like this one! I am also surprised to no end CJ did not play. How many time have we seen him miss all week of practice to suit up and go off on sunday?

Par for my course this weekend.....could not call anything right!

Did not expect Calvin to miss the game. Was surprised at how much that affected the O, but in hindsight, with both Calvin and Nate out, questionable receiving TE's in Pettigrew and Scheffler, it should have been more obvious how poorly the offensive production would be.

That said, the D acquitted themselves admirably. Special teams came through as an asset again instead of the liability they seemed to be last year. With two out of three phases doing well on a road game, there's the Silver lining to go along with the Honolulu Blue.

Great news everyone. Word is there are 0 physical casualties from Dom Ravioli's vicious and threatening name calling directed at the physically superior Wisconsin band. Thank God. Sadly, the same cannot be said for the bands fragile feelings. Those, are still in complete shambles.
