Hail to the Redskins!

They've won their fair share.

And I love that song, nothing gay about it.

Just further evidence that they need to change the name of the team...but not gay:

Hail to the Redskins!
Hail Victory!
Braves on the Warpath
Fight for old D.C.

Run or Pass or Score
We need a lot more
Beat 'em Swamp 'em Touchdown
Let the Points Soar
Fight On, Fight On 'til you have won
Sons of Washington

Hail to the Redskins!
Hail Victory!
Braves on the Warpath
Fight for old D.C.!

Scalp 'em Swamp 'em
We will take 'em Big Score
Read 'em Weep 'em Touchdown
We want heaps more!
Fight On, Fight On, 'til you have won
Sons of Washington

Hail to the Redskins!
Hail Victory!
Braves on the Warpath
Fight for old D.C.!

Super Bowl V--BAL 16, DAL 13 (1971). It was a game of firsts.
-First Super Bowl played on artificial turf.
-First one played after the completion of the AFL-NFL merger.
-First appearance in the Super Bowl for the Cowboys.
-First Super Bowl decided by a last second FG.
-First and only Super Bowl in which the MVP went to a player on the losing team (Chuck Howley). He is also the first non-QB to be MVP.

It was a terrible game. Dubbed by many as the "Blunder Bowl" both teams combined for 11 turnovers. The Colts had 7....and won the game.

Craig Morton should have been the MVP for the Colts.
3 INTs in the 4th qtr.

I get uncomfortable just thinking about how gimpy kneed he looked. I recall hips too?

Fucker had a decent career though. Over 15 years I'm pretty sure.

But yup, bridesmaid.....

Morton was 4-15 for 39 yards, 0 TD, and 4 INT. A QB rating of 0.0. He had the same number of completions to Dallas as he did to his teammates.

Norris Weese came in to save the day. He was 4-10 for 22 yards, 0 TD, 0 INT. Damn, Weese died in 1995 at the age of 43.
