Suck it, other Alabama teams! :D

The state of Alabama’s only remaining unbeaten college football team will put its perfect 5-0 record and No. 4 ranking in the NCAA Division II on the line Saturday when the University of North Alabama travels to Melbourne, Fla., for a Gulf South Conference game with Florida Tech.

Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. Eastern (5 Central).

“Florida Tech has a very good football team,” UNA Head Football Coach Bobby Wallace said. “They are explosive on offense with an outstanding quarterback and some really athletic receivers, but they can also run the ball.”

Undefeated, baby!

That's the only reason Bama lost to Ole Miss, gotta let UNA get some of the spotlight. Well... that, and they didn't want to be there.

FLORENCE, Ala. (WHNT) – It wasn’t pretty, but the University of North Alabama remained unbeaten with a 30-10 Homecoming win over Western Oregon at Braly Stadium. The Lions were whistled for 178 yards in penalties and lost two fumbles but managed to hold off the Wolves by forcing three turnovers and sacking WOU quarterbacks nine times for 77 yards.

UNA was their own worst enemy in that game, with penalties galore.

How in the hell does a division II team have the budget to play a game across the country.

Well, North Alabama is still...

the only unbeaten college football team in the state of Alabama.

Came down to the wire, and the Lions beat Florida Tech 34 to 31.

Face a tough West Georgia team next week (who beat the Okra today), and then a road game to Delta State the following week.

North Alabama escaped tonight against West Georgia.

Number 3 in the nation lost, so UNA should be ranked #3 next week, just like Bama.

North Alabama is playing like hot garbage tonight in Mississippi, down 17 to nothing against Delta State. :pout:

By the end of the night, the state of Alabama may well have no unbeaten college football teams left.

... and the Lions' comeback attempt failed.

UNA gave up half a dozen turnovers, and Delta State outplayed them most of the night.

DSU 33
UNA 28

The state of Alabama has no more unbeaten teams.

Irrespective of the level on which you play, it is harder than hell to make it through a season undefeated. The Lions are still having a hell of a good season. So there is that.
