I have not been so excited about a movie/tv show since The Accountant or maybe The Commuter. Anyway my excitement was worth it because early on at least this show delivers big time! Its about a chief doctor whose hands stop working and he becomes known as the "butcher of Atlanta". Along comes a new younger doctor with a secret past (implied to be ESP) and his handler is a third year 'resident'. I do not want to give it away but the climax of the pilot involves an appendix, a stapler, and a bra.

I cannot wait to see more. Bravo Fox, Bravo.

This post is a classic example of Poe's law. Poe's law states

The last 15 minutes of the most recent episode was odd and interesting. They finished the bulk of the story before the last break and the last segment was just three of them sitting around doing a crossword puzzle. One asked "whats a 8 letter word for occupant that starts with an R?". And for the next 9 minutes they all stared blankly into space.

I'm caught up on The Resident now. I head my doubts at first but this show is one of my favorites now. This week a crack epidemic hits the hospital. At first it's no big deal but when white people start getting caught on crack the administration swoops in. Bruce Greenwood figures out it's in the hand soap which was bought on the cheap from Thailand. Fantastic.

Wife and I really like the show but..........the billing episode was just too far out. I get it what hospitals charge but the stuff that went on was just out and out cray cray.

Will not stop me from watching next episode though.
