Todd Christensen was a beast when playing for the Raiders in the 80s, and he enjoyed a lot of success against the Seahawks (61-792-5 in 14 games). His game against the Hawks in October 1983 was epic, 11-152-3. A 5 time pro-bowler and twice had 90 receptions in a season (nearly unheard of for a receiver let alone a TE when he was playing). He was so dominate that he recorded 4 consecutive seasons with at least 80 catches. So, it's a little sad to hear he passed away today from complications during liver surgery. Prays go out to his family.

TC was an emotional guy and yes, one of the most intelligent men around. He was given a hard
time by Raider players because of his high IQ and vocabulary.

As a Hawk fanatic, you have to appreciate "running with the night", one of the great all time runs
and the emotions felt by TC. He was obviously choked up.

I'm glad are others who respect him like I do, there was a time yesterday that I thought no one else cared about this. He was one of the first professionals I knew the name of, and is still one of my favorite players today.

What a stud this guy was. I wonder if his Liver had issues due to Ibuprofen over use like Kenny Easley. Sad for his family and friends and the Raider organization.

As a kid, I couldn't stand the evil empire, especially because
in 1983, our Hawks had beaten the Raiders twice in the regular
season, we went to Miami and upset the Fish in the divisionals
but got crushed by the Raiders in the AFCCG.

While enemies, I did have respect for Todd Christensen because
he was one of the quality individuals like our Steve Largent.

In one final photo, Todd and Marcus Allen walked
out of the tunnel in "every" Raider game they played together.
