Wrong again. Went there in 1990....it was gross. Went fishing in Venice in 95, 2001, 2005 and 2011......gross, gross, yucky, disgusting.....every time.

Go there sometime, you'll see.

Generally speaking, If I hate a place, I tend not to go back.

Good question. The first trips was with college buddies and NOLA was the destination.

the other trips were for fishing, but one night was always in NOLA (the day/night before fishing trips).

Only thing good that EVER happened in NOLA was I won just shy of 19K on a craps table (guess who had to pay for all the beer)?

Face it, the town is downtrodden and stinky and full of hooligans/criminals.

Didn't know anything about craps until last weekend...watched about 2 hours of it at a casino outside DEN and had the moves explained to me...still didn't get it all, but watched a lady roll for about 25 mins before she crapped out and this guy next to me raked up about $8k on her roll.

Craps is fun if you know what's going on.....super fast paced if the table is full. Watched a guy roll for about 45 minutes on night in Vegas. He must have rolled at least 10 hard eights and hard fours during his roll.
