I'm more interested in seeing if some of the late rounders can prove to be steals, like Wellwood and Labrecque. Wellwood looked pretty good in the Memorial Cup playing on a stacked team, and Labrecque was a rumored prospect involved in a Bernier trade. They must be doing something good. I'm also interested in seeing Pither, as he's been more highly regarded than Testwuide and I really like Testwuide. I guess 94 points in the OHL will do that. I like big defensemen, so Lauridsen and Blidstrand are high on my list. Apparently, Riopel was shattering records last year in a weak QMJHL, but, as we remember, got exposed in the Memorial Cup against top talent. I'd like to see if he's more record breaker or choker. And of course, I want to see the other half of our young studs tandem.

Also, what happened to Bodrov? He played some on the Phantoms but I don't recall seeing anything about him. Cofran was our insider but dissappeared about 1/2 of the season. Maybe Tox can hunt him down and invite him:p

Bodrov is pretty old, 23 I believe. I don't remember if he's been through the camp or not, but you have to figure that they would have invited him if they wanted to scout him a little more.

Does that mean he's not in our system anymore?

It just means there's one less mouth to feed in the logjam of potential 3-4 defensemen in the system.

From what I read, Homer is very high on Testwuide and he will have a decent chance to make the roster coming out of camp.

Some of these players make me excited for the future, but then again I have to wonder trading our draft picks away all the time where do they come from?

Everybody knows that Taylor Hall and Tyler Seguin tied for the scoring lead in the Ontario Hockey League, but who was 3rd? Luke Pither. Pither is a late-bloomer who was undrafted. Homer signed him this year and that's how we got him. He scored 36 goals with 58 assists for 94 points in 67 games.
A very astute pick-up
