The wife said she wanted to make chili, i said "okay" got all the supplies go home, she was able to rinse off the beans put them in the pot add some tomato stuffs and get the beef started then says "you are going ot have to take over i need to take the kids to their dentist appointment" lol so much for her making the chili, i had to brown the beef season everything add more tomato stuffs and of course now i have to baby it til it tastes just right with stirring and seasoning

I hear ya, im more about the extra practice time. Personally i dont feel a team should be kept from practicing if ~50% of FBS is getting extra practice the best way for a bad team to get better is more practices... I would like to be eligible for a bowl but still always thought it should be made more fair in that regard

Speaking of the Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl.... It's the lowest bowl in the Big 10 pecking order. However, it's probably the most ideal bowl for Nebraska to make.

It's not played until Saturday Jan 4th 2020. That would maximize Nebraska's much needed extra practice time to 5 full weeks.
Other Big 10 lower tier bowls are played in December and would only give them 4 extra weeks...

It's been 34 months since Nebraska's gotten those extra weeks of practice. Their last post season was a (38-24) loss to Tennessee in the Music City Bowl on Dec 30th 2016. Near 3 years since we've watched Nebraska in post season.

The Armed Forces Bowl would also likely be the Husker's best odds for a bowl win being against (at best) the #2 MWC team. Maybe even their #3 or #4 team.

#14 Boise St is currently the highest ranked G5. If they stay that way they'll get the guaranteed New Year's 6 bowl.
That would default the #2 MWC team to the Las Vegas Bowl.
There is no pecking order for the MWC's other 6 bowl tie-ins. However, the Armed Forces Bowl is the only other P5 bowl they have. I'd assume they'd put their 3rd place team there.

Air Force (4-2), Wyoming (4-2), San Diego St (5-1), Hawaii (4-2), and Nevada (4-2) are all currently in play.

I think Nebraska beats Indiana, then takes the week after off for celebration and lose @ Purdue.

The 6th win will need to be Maryland on the road after yet another "We get it, we got our minds right, we're trying harder" moment.
