Mark Phillip was Riley's failed experiment.

He's back to being an asst since leaving Nebraska.

"Mark Philipp is in his third season serving as Nebraska's head football strength coach. Philipp assumed his role in January of 2015, shortly after Mike Riley was hired as the Huskers' head football coach. Philipp had previously worked with Riley as an assistant strength and conditioning coach at Oregon State."

He was an asst at USC in 2018. They went 5-7.

He'll be an asst at the Seattle Seahawks in 2019.

I can see them going back to being assistants like Phillipp. They are people who need to be told what to do and be supervised.
Dobson will never be head S&C coordinator at a big time program again. Likely on his way to mid-major once Vandy changes coaches again.

Dobson was an assistant at Iowa when Pleeny gave him his big experimental promotion.

He wasn't even Iowa's coordinator. He was just an assistant and that's all he'd ever been at the time.

I remember his bio at Nebraska saying he "developed" Suh. LOL
