As explained in the Team-by-Team Thread, I am planning on making a thread every three days for a different team. The first few posts will be questions, requests for predictions, etc. There will be a poll unless I don't feel like making one. Some teams are less interesting than others.

They will surprise people now that they got some leadership in Phil Jackson and Derek Fisher. They made a great trade with Dallas and Carmelo Anthony will prove that he made the right decision. #5 seed in the weak east.

Borderline playoff team. They will have a long and steady road out of the mess, but I have faith in Phil to make decisions that improve the team inch by inch. Phil's biggest challenge in his career is front and center. Gotta believe he is motivated

New coaches and new system. Coaches and players will be watching a lot of game film right off the bat so they can see what needs corrected. It's safe to say they'll be failing from the beginning while learning on the run.

I'd be surprised if they're within 5 games of being over .500 come all-star break and even more surprised if they make the playoffs. Still root for em' though.

Looking forward to the following season when they'll have a 1st round pick and a lot of money coming off the books.

As much as I respect Phil and Fish, this team is going to be BAD!

Derek Fisher has no coaching experience whatsoever and Phil won't be anywhere near the bench during the games.

They'll be lucky to make the playoffs.

I think Melo will go back to his Denver Nugget days. More efficient, lighter, and a better team player.

Knicks will be a 7 or 8 seed playoff team and have the potential to get to 4 or 5 if Melo can have an excellent year and take that next step.

I could see that...the lanscape in the east is very different.....Indy and miami , will be worse...bulls and cavs will be better...I expect the nets to be worse, and the wizards to be better......where will NY fall in between....id say 5th seed could be right
