Not sure what he saw in Brat in his one year with Atlanta that made him think Brat would be a good candidate to take along with him.

In all likelihood though, Mularkey is going to install his offense he ran in Atlanta and call his own plays as the head coach, so he just needed a puppet to plug in at OC who would fall into place. Brat having a decades worth of experience as an OC and having been under Mularkey's offense for a year is the perfect candidate.

That said, how sad a state is it in Cincinnati that their previous 2 coordinators - and tenured coordinators if I may add - can only find jobs as puppets in the league.

It actually goes back further with Mularkey and Brat.... If my memory serves me, they were both on the same Pittsburgh staff many years ago - This was when Brat was the receivers coach for the Steelers and Mularkey was a position coach and then the offensive coordinator.

I'm fairly sure I read on Twitter that Mularkey said he will not be calling plays.

Mularkey said he is not calling play.

He and Bratowski go way back, so it's not surprising at all to see Bratowski heading up the new offense for Mularkey.

Kahn's a rich man. He didn't get rich by not maximizing his assets. He bought the Jags for a Jacksonville price and that's the worth of the franchise. If he moves it to LA it instantly doubles in worth. Plus, he has no ties to the Jax area and no real incentive to stay. The only thing that is currently keeping him is an expensive lease break and the fact that there isn't a stadium in LA. A couple of years of Brat and Mularkey should kill the remaining fans in Jax and allow them out of the lease.

I wanna put together a team that will help us relocate to Los Angeles*(edit).

What do ya mean? Some of these guys are furniture movers?

So, what are you saying? You want us to LOSE games?

No. We've been losing games. What I want is for us to finish dead last.

We could send down Livings and McGlynn to flank him....that should help that young quarterback out.....

I've been thinking for a few years that Jax is the most logical choice to move to LA. For the most part, they have been semi-competitive and just can't seem to get a following in Jacksonville.

Bratkowski didn't know what to do after Marvin declared we will never be dependent on our QB to bail us out (after suffering through Ryan Fitzpatrick for a year), it really wasn't a good set up to have 2 coaches here that were so incompatible.

He did get predictable and not inventive though. he's part of the good ol' boy network, so he gets a job, that's how it works.
