Florida State confirms its bowl eligibility
Most of these people are as stupid as it gets.
They read something partially and get all worked up over nothing.
The key is the 2-year rolling period. You've got to meet the standard once every two years.
It's just like attendance.
There is a rule about attendance and/or stadium size for a team to remain at the FBS level.
#1: To be an FBS school you must have a stadium with a minimum of 30K seats.
#2: If you do not, you can remain in FBS as long as you have averaged 15K per game in a
two-year rolling period. (15 grand at least in one of the years)
There are 5 schools that played this year at the FBS level that should have been sent back to
FCS. They do not have a 30,000 seat stadium and they did not average 15,000 in 2015 or
2016. Those schools were Idaho, UNCC, Kent St, Ball State and Northern Illinois,
NCAA just makes those rules but they don't really enforce them. Just like they don't enforce
the 5 Home Games vs FBS schools. Teams are supposed to play 5 home games per season vs
FBS schools. There were 7 this year that did not meet that requirement.
Ga Southern, Arkansas St, Louisiana-Lafayette, Georgia St, Central Mich, Bowling Green and
Kent State.
They don't bother with that stuff
