to your post of not thinking of a single reason to pick TAM (and I say this thinking ND pick is fine) I guess could say each beat a top team and lost to an elite team while beating a bunch of other middling teams.
Unless you believe a 3 loss Florida is an "elite" team.

That would likely be the outcome for any of the teams ranked below ND.

I'm not sure tOSU will hold up against Clemson, let alone Bama. Simply, this is a two team race.
could even be a 1 team race, but that's why they play the games.

The big difference is ND has a win over Clemson to go with a blowout loss. TAMU has no win over Bama to compensate for their blowout loss.
But you won that game in South Bend because that Clemson team wasn't full strength whereas A&M's win against a healthy Florida looked so much better.

there's few spectators allowed at these games, so home field might not be that big a factor. clemson's backup threw for 450 yards.

was florida at full strength when they lost to 4-4 lsu

nd has wins over 2 ranked teams, and 2 more wins overall.

I didn’t win a game in South Bend. My screen name gives away as much.

We did play UF and TAMU, and neither is close to Clemson.

scored 40 total. the difference in the 2 games was rushing yards. etienne 28 vs @120. book -35 yards.
34 in regulation with only 1 TD scored in the first half. Of course you can focus on Etienne because there’s no Lawrence to worry about. And they needed only 2 OTs at their home field to defeat this handicapped team (who was also missing their defensive leader).

34=34 last i checked.

they had a qb who threw for a record 450 yards passing, no pics, they had to worry about instead.

Florida didn't play their star TE in Kyle Pitts for whatever reason but that shouldn't have mattered cause LSU had guys not there.
every team has injuries and players not 100%. clemson is deep and talented.
