Remember when they lost at home to Incarnate Word in early December?

Yes, but that one didn't hurt me.

It's all over now. Nothing to look forward to until September. I really just wanted to get a win a game to end the streak. We haven't won since almost January.

I had to try really hard to not yell out expletives in my 5:00 class while watching the end of that game. Thankfully we can move on to next year now.

That Nebrasketball would finish 6th at best in the Southland Conference doesn't hurt?

Southland Conference Standings - College Basketball - ESPN

It was a silly loss and it was obviously a fluke considering we beat Michigan State and Cincinnatti in Lincoln.

The ones that hurt me were when we couldn't get it back on track after losing a few in a row. Those hurt because it was just downright frustrating. Today hurt the most because the season is over and it's now a reality that we don't have any NCAA Tourney to play in.

Out of their misery.

Retool and regroup for next season. Guys like Webster, Hammond and Fuller need to step up and push the the guys who were in front them. Good talent coming in.

Yup.

I've been on the 'next season' page for a month now. Particularly when I looked at closing schedule strength.
I doubt Petteway returns. He graduates this spring and will have another season remaining. With his mom being sick, he could transfer closer to home and not have to sit a year. There's also the NBA angle, but I think he's riding pine there.

I don't see him transferring. He's got it made here, Miles let's him shoot as much as he wants.

If he does anything for his mom it's gonna be going to the NBA. Last I saw he was a projected 3rd rounder.
