This is very fair. No question scheduling is a huge component here that clearly favors BSU. However, just for context, BSU hasn't played USC in the last 10 years, but I believe our record vs. the other 3 is 8-1 in the last 10 years.

Boise is 100% a top 5 west coast team in the last 10 years. I agree with you that the schedule has probably played a part in it, but the record against those teams speaks for itself. They have multiple wins over P5 teams on the road and in neutral site games

BYU is too conservative for the P12, and they will use academic snobbery to block Boise (kind of like the ACC did with WVU just prior to adding the Harvard of the Midwest, Louisville).

Boise State has certainly been the most consistent program west of the Rockies over the past 15 years.

Petersen's replacement has not quite replicated the level of success that the Broncos enjoyed previously. Still good, but not top 8 good.
