First teams ever to make the playoffs where each team only beat 1 other squad with a winning record

Bengals 9 wins, only winning team they beat was Tenn

Broncos 9 wins, only winning team they beat was Cincy

Bengals were 1 and 7 vs winning teams. 8 and 0 vs .500 or below teams (Clev, Clev, STL, AZ, Sea, Indy, Jax, Buff)

Nate Clements, post game, acted like they had won the superbowl by backing in the playoffs. it was hilarious.

Bet on both with long odds, get rich, or just lose money guaranteed.

Well, you play 11 years without sniffing the playoffs, it's understandable if you feel pretty good about getting in, even if you snuck in the back door......the only problem I have with Clements is his inability to cover fast receivers....

I believe I saw a post/article where the Patriots also got into the playoffs by not beating a single team that was over .500. 13-3, but lost to all 3 teams that ended up with a winning record. Did they back into the playoffs as well?

This is 'almost' correct. New England only played 2 teams that ended up with a winning record - The Steelers and Giants. They lost both. Their other loss was to the Buffalo Bills.

Shocking that Bip was wrong.

That's got to be really hard to accomplish...they played 16 games, and of those 16, 14 of them didn't have a winning record...sheesh.

Yeah, I'm really starting to question whether they will be exposed in the playoffs. The last two seasons they have been beat up pretty good in home playoff games. If we lose to Houston this week, I could see Pittsburgh showing up and beating them by 2 touchdowns. If we beat Houston, I could see Rob Gronkowski setting an NFL record for receiving yards in one game by a tight end and the playoffs will host an AFC championship game.

That is a pathetic stat for the Pasties, good lord and I thought the AFCS was the cupcake division. If NE spots you all, Picksburg or us a 21 point lead, no way in hell they come back

I know I wouldn't feel safe with a 21 pt lead vs the Pats, as long as at least five minutes were left in the game.....

Marvin will though. Marvin would have stopped trying to score at 14-0.

Sooo, then New England is the first and only team in the history of the NFL to make the playoffs and not beat ANY team with a winning record? is that what we just said here?
