Excited, apprehensive, depressed will all rejoice in a few years time. All this talk about uniting the fan base. Winning will do that and that is what we are about to do.

I'm quite convinced that Riley (on his worst day) is 10x the coach Pelini is (on his best day).

As far as Penn State goes, I just don't think Hackenberg is that good. He isn't bad, but Heisman candidate is a bit much IMO.

Michigan State will have a tough time getting someone that is close to as good as Narduzzi.

All these teams are coming up rainbows and roses but we are "still a middle of the road" team.

From the way I see it we, Penn State and maybe M. State are the only programs that have coaches that can be counted on to not bolt for the next best thing.

And interestingly they are the ones that are going the old fashioned route of building a program instead of buying one.

edit: Regardless, of course we are still a middle of the road big ten team. It hasn't even been a month since Pelini was fired.

I do think this staff is head and shoulders above the previous staff. I just found out that the 49ers TE coach is from Oregon state. And the 49ersatz running backs coach is from Nebraska
