Music From The American Epic Sessions
It is a PBS documentary (and album), about the way music used to be recorded. The technology, back then, was very primitive, but amazing. The recording machine, for that time, was a high form of analog. The one of a kind device, was rebuilt from parts around the world. (10 years to reconstruct)
The producers of the documentary were T Bone Burnett, Jack White and, Robert Redford.
The performers:
Elton John
Willie Nelson
Merl Haggard
The Avett Brothers
Los Lobos
Beck
Alabama Shakes
Edie Brickell and Steve Martin
Jack White
Taj Mahal
and many more
The music from this album, just like the machine, is very pure.
Great music,Great Documentary
The album is available on vinyl, Cd (ironic), itunes (ironic part 2).......
