The Pistons win the battle of trash with their 3 "stars" and a G League rotation.

Encouraging I guess.

Pop has to be in the conversation.

He was the example of value added to a team from the coaching box in terms of in game management and player development for 2 decades.

However, why I give the nod to Phil is because Pop’s two superstars were both known for being egoless.

Give him his first job coaching Allen Iverson and Carmelo Anthony…

We probably can’t pick Pop out of a lineup today.

The nba doesn’t ridiculously run a second test of the ping pong balls and that last line is still true

I was tied up with family last night and didn’t see any Sixers at all. In fact, I forgot they were on with Phil’s opening day. Look at the box score today and it must have been a weird one. Sixers were led in scoring by….Kyle Lowry? And the Cavs leading scorer was…Georges Niang? Crazy.

I don’t know who this guy is that has been wearing Giddeys jersey for the last month but he is in the process of making himself a lot of money.
Not a FA.

Team option for next season at 8.3 mill.

They can’t keep everyone long term.

But Giddey is first up.

The should resign him unless they can flip him for a perfectly fitting role player who is signed on a team friendly deal.

Thunder have 2-3 years before they are in cap hell.

Should push as hard as they can until they get to that point.

Would be curious if he'd take more money on a shorter deal

Don’t you think I know that lol? He’s extension eligible after this season and may be traded to someone that will give him a bag.

Yup that’s the truth. Giddey playing so well gives them a chance to trade him and push the clock back a year. It’s unreal how well the guy is playing, he is flat out abusing smaller guards and pretty much all guards are smaller than him.

This hurts though

Really would’ve been good to see him get more run

I wanted the Celtics to get in on him

They're tanking for most part. But obviously wanting to get Ivey and Cade more run.

Would've been cool to see Grimes and how he fit though

The good news for them is unlike the sixers they have max cap space and guys with small cap holds

Grimes and the Italian dude

And the jazz got what they wanted…not giving their pick to the thunder (why do teams donate picks to them for nothing?)
