I think uconn has to give up on those guys if they cant' land them now

defending champs (last 3 coaches have all won a title at UConn, so staying power)
a HUGE edge at HC now that K is gone
players actually getting better at uconn
Flagg's family was close to UConn's star C's family (their moms played at Maine together)

They just a title with zero 5 stars, they probably need to stay in their lane of developing 4 stars into lottery picks to keep this up.

They just don't have the bag for NIL that other schools do. they can't play the same game as Duke, Kansas, Kantucky etc.

Getting those free points at the stripe made a big difference. It's not like he was ultra-efficient in the first game either, going 9-20 (4-12 from 3). 17-17 from the line in game 1, 0-0 in game 2 (and we know it's not due to Trae's defense, lol).

4-12 from 3 is not efficient in Dame terms. 9/20 overall is mediocre for him. His stat line was exaggerated by FTs.

However, 45% from the field in a game where the player shoots 60% of his attempts from 3 AND makes 15 FTs…

That is a pretty efficient scoring line.
