Yes, the entire franchise has made a complete change in course. They are going in a completely different direction than all of us expected, except maybe DTC.

Yes, the entire franchise has made a complete change in course. They are going in a completely different direction than all of us expected, except maybe DTC.

Not sure it's a shift or a change in course.

We all expected them to sign a big name FA SS. They've done that.

We all expected them to sign a SP. They've done that.

Signing Semien - who now becomes the 2B - is a surprise. A huge one. And yes, that will force the Rangers to make some decisions about prospects that are more significant. But the Rangers were always going to face decisions with our MIF, even if Semien wasn't here. It's not really a shift or a change in course from where things were headed. Same basic direction, just a little faster than we expected.

I disagree. I see signing Semien and Seager to mean "we don't want to count on our prospects." With the exception of Jung, Leiter and one or two others.

I see us trading 6 to 8 of our top 20 prospects by July 31, 2022. And a few outside of the top 20 as well.
