...which really sucks. He had been playing really well. Came one block away from a triple double recently, plus had had 4 or 5 double doubles already.

Dammit.

both Uconn and texas without their starting centers tonight.

That should increase the tempo for sure.

indeed. I'm thinking Shaka Smart will move to playing more his style, now that Cam is out.

UConn is soft in the middle without Brimah (facey is hopeless defensively, but a moderately decent offensive rebounder). Texas should attack the basket.

if Smart goes Havoc I could see UConn going with Gibbs/Adams in a 2 PG lineup to try and counteract Havoc.

Texas still has a tall shot blocker, and a wide body to bang around down there a bit. But Ridley was the MAN down by the basket, they're going to miss him big time.

AND, really missed him tonight. He had become such a presence, now there's a void. The entire team looked a bit lethargic, just no juice this evening.

Better find it again, conference play starts Saturday.

Yeah, both teams clearly missed their big guy. There was just some awful rebounding going on for both teams, easy rebounds getting caromed around the floor off guys hands. It was pretty bad.

I'm surprised you guys didn't press a bit more. Try to force some turnovers.
