We all grew up learning that Thomas Edison was the man when in fact it was old Nick Tesla that did most of the heavy lifting while Edison did his best to fuck Tesla over at every turn.

I am also looking forward to seeing what kind of movie they made.

Yep. Tesla was the genesis of a lot of what we do.

Edison was a bit of a motherfucker.

What was cool about Tesla is how he would "imagine" something was possible when there was no ability at the time to prove it or push the idea forward. And eventually... he was usually right. At least in theory. What was odd is how his mind started to wander later in life. The wild claims he made. He was brilliant enough that I wonder if the death ray is just still hidden lol.

There's a fairly long list of genius level minds that went a little crazy in their later years, sometimes really effing crazy. My take on it is that sometimes I think their brains just burned too bright while they're younger and the shelf life is shortened.
