hopefully both teams will be good that season and it really does draw a massive crowd.

i worry if both teams are expected to be mediocre that year that turnout might not be that great.

It sounds cool. I've been to several races at Bristol. Best track to see a race live IMO. Interesting to see how it will work for football.

I don't know where Blacksburg, VA is on a map, but Bristol is just a short drive from Knoxville.

Hell, I can't speak for everybody but I don't give a shit about either team in the scheme of things, the tailgating could be out of this world though. The wife and I are already planning on trying to make it. Pretty good chance lots of other Hooplans will be there too.

The distances are essentially equal. Both less than 2 hours driving time.

There will be thousands of fans that don't even want to go inside for the game, but will come for the tailgate.

i understand the geography concept. but teams like texas & alabama dont need geography to get fans to come to this game.

those two fanbases are a lot better than tenn or vtech.

for an event that has the potential to be really historic i feel like they are wasting it on unworthy programs who wont be able to come close to filling it up
