Totally get the rule.

But Nebraska just got 2 players ejected on bang bang calls that yes were penalties imo but not worthy of an election.

Really think this rule needs to be looked at. I mean very similar hits in other games the call was reversed and not called targeting

This rule is like PI in the NFL. All depends upon the officiating crew what is or isn't called

Subjective penalties are always going to be controversial. Need better consistency across all of CFB on targeting, pass interference, etc.

Very true. Thats why the targeting rule really needs to be changed. Especially to when it comes to the ejection of the player.

Both calls (by rule, I guess) where but imo not worthy of an ejection.

Agree 100% on the ejection. Make it like unsportsmanlike conduct: 2 in the same game and you're gone.

Exactly! But if its extremely clear and obvious sure eject, but if its a bang bang play and only "technically against the rule" unsportsmanlike

I agree and I mentioned this in the game thread. Those were big key players in their secondary. Even worse is both players will miss a half against Wisky next week.

Sure were and it certainly doesn't help them next week at all

It's a garbage penalty that turns defenses soft.

The first one I agree with. The second one was a bullshit call
Players hit their teammates harder on the head to amp themselves up than he was hit...

Don't really think the first was ejection worthy either. 2nd was (as you said) absolutely BS

Tennessee just got hit with a targeting call.

And REVERSED!! That hit was much clearly then Nebraska's yet overturned. BS!

Now one on the 2nd play of the Tenn-Bama game. On a bang-bang play, too.

Good call. He didnt launch. That is one of the keys, in the Ohio St game it seems 50-50 BUT the player launched his body

He didn’t launch his body, he kept his ground. Makes all the difference in the world apparently. Still I dont think anyone knows the rules lol
