This is all moot but I missed out on Hockenson on waivers this week and nabbed Waller instead. Obviously Hockenson had the better first week but Waller looked good.

Maybe I’m just experiencing sour grapes, but did I actually miss out by not getting Hockenson? I’m starting to think that Waller may be the better TE this season when all is said and done.

Thoughts? (I’ll take prayers as well)

Really tough tbh. I really both specifically this week but I think Hockenson will continue to get targeted and produce. Actually starting him in one league.

At least you got one of them. Both have really good opportunities in their offenses. I think both will have nice years but I am bias I would take Hockenson over Waller.

I am becoming a buyer quickly on both... So I like them both... But I think Waller has the better opportunity... The lack of WRs there in Oakland is clear...

But both, I think will easily be top 10 TEs...

Yeah. Sort of wish I had both. I thought about picking up Hockenson on Saturday because my TE situation was weak...but I didn’t pull the trigger. Oh well. Happy I’ve got Waller.

Well, seems that Waller will be the #2 passing option for Carr - who has proven he likes the TE. Hock will be good but Stafford has never really favored his TE over WRs before - although, maybe he never had one like him. Personally, I think it may turn out to be a blessing. ....

I agree with Waller has the higher opportunity and he could definitely be more productive. They were counting on A Brown in this offense. Now they have Tyrell and Waller, they do have Foster Moreau as the backup TE who is pretty underrated too though...the Lions have Golladay and Marvin Jones Jr...both are freak athletes at their size.

Tj hockenson for me more upside. Waller is safe though. It's close to me slight lean to hock. It depends how good your team is too, if you need a guy where he can be a top 5 guy a guy that can be elite with the monster upside. It's hockenson for me

Tomayto Tomahto... Both very good options. Hock gets a little bump for me... I just think he's better, but as far as "losing"? Nah. Consistency is few and far between, especially at TE. It's mostly a matchup thing. Waller will have his.

Hockenson from me.
I thought he would be good before the season started.
I drafted him. he will be a common target of Stafford all year.

Also the Lions will be either playing from behind or in shootouts more often this year.
Already proven they cant hold a lead.

Raiders if smart will try to use their rookie RB to keep pace down & pressure off of all their young guys.

like waller over the course of the year, but can't argue what Hockenson did vs a depleted Zona defense.

NFC North rivals won't be nearly as easy to rack up rec/yds against as Zona, so I'd temper some expectations for Hock when looking at a season-long view

Waller will get the targets for this year, that's for sure. Dude is a physical specimen. Could become a top TE easily this year and be the difference in winning some fantasy leagues.

That said, we're talkin' about TEs. I don't even know anymore. :noidea::noidea::noidea:
