Good, still believe he will finish as a top five dt ever.

The ONLY thing about this firing Schwartz thing that has me worried was possibly losing Suh, and not seeing him re-sign. Looks like he is loyal to the organization. Good. TT is usually dead on so he's a good source.

Everybody speaks building around STaff and CJ. The defense should always be built with him in mind until he regresses.

Only bad thing about those long extension contracts is the $$ getting pushed back to haunt you down the road. Big cap hits...

If History has taught me anything, it's that offense wins games and defense wins championships. Well... We've went 11-21 the last two seasons. I say we try and see if Defense can win games AND championships. (Surprising as it may be, I didn't major in rodentology.)

I thought Schwartz was a DC....I can only imagine how bad the secondary could get with a offensive minded HC.

Isn't Narduzzi the guy responsible for the defense being run at MSU? Unfortunately, I don't think the defense MSU runs would be very successful in the NFL. They will consistently put up to 9 men within 10 yards of the line of scrimmage and single coverage on the outside and dare teams to throw the ball deep to the WRs. Can you imagine if Detroit put 9 in the box against Chicago or GB? It'd get ugly fast. You'd have to have Darrell Revis and Patrick Peterson to run a defense like that.

If Dantonio could develop players as he has at MSU -- I'd love to have him. He seems very happy at MSU and they just signed him to an extension though.

Dantonio was theOhio's DC before he was head coach in EL. They were kinda good. Not that it matters. Nobody is leaving a head gig to be our DC. Well, not unless somebody else is taking their head gig first.
