So Villanova is leaving on Monday to get to Buffalo for Thursday's game. Probably will win on Thursday and Saturday and then off again next week. They are University representatives not students unless each player has a tutor who is qualified in each of the courses they are taking. Old story but true.

I actually think Villanova's students are OK.

We don't really recruit the one and dones too hard, so most of the guys get degrees.

Student-Athletes Excel in the Classroom

In terms of your general point, it varies. A lot of guys who work hard to become good basketball players are like the no-nonsense, Christian, never-party, Type A personality. Like Brandon Knight was like valedictorian even though he was like the #1 ranked player in his class or something. I bet he's never gotten drunk in his life.

Also, yes college is a farce for a lot of athletes, but so is it for a lot of regular students who go there to smoke dope, get drunk, and eat pizza on their parent's dime all the while having no motivation to go to class and have no clue what they want to do afterwards.
