Motte can look great at times, but mostly he seems like a one-trick pony whose trick ain't all that good. Strop drives me nuts. He's got really good stuff, but somehow, some way, he always finds a way to f it up.

I'll take either of them over Soriano, though. I have no issue with the Cubs signing him - it was worth a shot - but the experiment failed.

If people just give Lester a pass after allowing 4 steals per inning, one error trying to get the ball to first base, then shit the mound his next outing against the tigers, I think we can cut a nobody like Strop some slack after a bad outing.

I mentioned this once before, probably not here, but if Lester Strode (bullpen coach) is watching his relievers warm up and sees he cannot throw the ball over the plate, his ball is not cutting and diving, you would think he would have the power to call the dugout back and say, Strop does not have it today, we better get someone else up. I really cannot see why this does not happen more.

Motte was dumped by the cardinals. All he needs is a change of speed and he would make hitters look stupid, but his bull in china shop approach to throw it harder, then harder, then harder does not work when its going straighter, then straighter then straighter.

CJ or Carl Edwards is on a 7 day DL for a blister, but McLeod said he expects him on the roster september 1.
