Steve Kerr's back hasn't responded as well to his two surgeries he had in the off-season. He'll be out indefinitely. Luke Walton, who was just promoted to lead assistant this year, will be taking over as interim.

I feel like this could be a real problem for us to begin the year. The things that work in our favor is the chemistry as a team we have and the continuity. Still, it will be interesting to see how/if this affects the Dubs, at least in the early part of the year.

Luke's the man. He will lead the Warriors to an undefeated record until Kerr comes back.

Just heard on espn that Kerr is expected to come back around opening night.

Not a big deal at all for the Warriors

Luke has learned from his father, Lute Olson at Arizona, Phil Jackson, and Steve Kerr. He may not have been a great player in the NBA but he certainly has had some great coaching to learn from throughout his career… could be a decent interim. Thing is, his job won't be that hard with how talented his team is.

That's why Phil kept him on the Lakers for so long. Anytime he didn't like how the triangle was being run, he'd put Luke in to get it on track.

Best wishes t Kerr at this time but it seems like he'll be back around the season's start.

Luke will be a head coach somewhere someday.
