SEC Biased, ESPN is obviously creating false accounts to vote here.

No, actually this looks decent. Lsu still too high, but 17 is not jaw dropping bad. Aggies at 25 is about right. Georgia unranked. I also think Clemson is a few spots too high.

All in all though this looks better than any official poll I see out there. Not bad guys.

lol @ obvious anti-SEC bias.

Team /// SportsHoopla Ranking /// Average BCS Computer Ranking /// Departure From Average
Alabama /// 1 /// 2 /// +1
Missouri /// 6 /// 3 /// -3
Auburn /// 11 /// 7 /// -4
LSU /// 17 /// 15 /// -2
Texas A&M /// 25 /// 18 /// -7
South Carolina /// 27 /// 26 /// -1
Ole Miss /// 30 /// 24 /// -11
Georgia /// 35 /// 23 /// -12
Florida /// T-37 ///30 /// -7

Teams in the SEC getting ranked on average 4 spots lower than they deserve based on unbiased computer composites. LOL @ the haters.

AP Poll: LSU - 13
Coaches: LSU- 13
BCS: LSU - 13
Harris: LSU - 12

SportsHoopla: LSU - 17

That's why I said better. Still too high, but its the best poll I've seen. Not sure why that was so hard to figure out:noidea:

LSU has an average composite of 15th in the nonbiased computers. A whole 2 spots behind where they are ranked in the coaches and human polls. You saying that 17th is still too high makes no sense when they are 15th in the computer average. But hey, look at the entire sports SportsHoopla poll and it is pretty obvious there is a huge SEC bias. the 9 SEC teams receiving votes are a total of 36 spots lower than their computer composites. not some "biased" AP or other human poll. 36 spots lower than their nonbiased "only-look-at-who-you-beat-and-where-you-beat-them" computers.

Incidentally, would you bet on Texas Tech to beat LSU on a neutral field? I wouldn't.

The fact that people have Michigan and Michigan State over Wisconsin is mystifying. I think just about everyone in B1G country thinks Wisconsin has been much better and is much better. Hell, I think one can make a very strong argument that we were better in our worst game (@ ASU) than Michigan was in any of their games but the Notre Dame game (and even the second half of that game).

when (if?) all 3 of those teams have several games against quality competition under their belts the picture will clear itself up.

I think Wisconsin is pretty talented, but for fuck's sake, if you guys manage to make a BCS bowl this year, would you mind winning it?? :gaah:

Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't realize that the only rankings that are legit are computer rankings. Hell, I don't even know why we have a sports board where people express their opinions - when we can just look at somebody else's computer formula and just let that do our thinking for us.

Going with that logic, here is your poll:

1. Alabama
2. Florida State
3. Oregon
4. Missouri
5. Baylor
6. Ohio State
7. Stanford
8. LSU
9. Texas Tech
10. Auburn
11. Miami
12. Clemson
13. UCLA
14. Virginia Tech
15. Texas A&M
16. Oklahoma
17. South Carolina
18. Oklahoma State
19. Fresno State
20. Georgia
21. Michigan
22. Michigan State
23. Northern Illinois
24. Central Florida
25. Nebraska

Baylor: You are 7 spots off your beloved computer rankings;
LSU: You are 7 spots off your beloved computer rankings;
Va Tech: You are 6 spots off your beloved computer rankings;
S. Carolina: You are 9 spots off your beloved computer rankings;
Georgia: You are way off.

Consequently, while you certainly do have a tendency to overrate SEC teams, you seem to be way off what you think is accurate in general.

So, are you willing to admit how stupid your poll is, since it doesn't adhere to the computers you value so much? Your premise was that my assessment of a teams rank was laughable because it did not comply with computer rankings. Are you willing to turn that same logic on yourself??? Or do you want to just agree that people on a sports message board can have opinions?

i also ranked missouri, auburn, and ole miss below their computer rankings. and georgia is ranked an average of 22nd in the computer rankings. you could argue that lsu should be lower, but i really feel they are just better than the teams below them. i certainly wouldn't bet on texas tech or miami to beat them on a neutral field. my rankings are 2 parts results, 1 part who-do-i-think-is-better.

furthermore, you are going to see a lot more variations from the mean when you look at a sample size of 1 voter (me). my demonstration of wild anti-sec bias is based on almost 50 people's rankings. orders of magnitude more important from a statistical perspective.
