YES network just reported that the Rangers have traded Sofia to the Tigers for two MiLB pitchers.

Seems like a good trade, Rangers need to clearly add pitching depth. Plus side Corey gets to come home, HOOK EM

Knebel has not looked good in his two MLB stints, but has good stuff. Jake Thompson has even more upside, IMO. Hate to lose him from our system, but gotta give to get. And the Tigers are in a win-now mode, not win-in-2016, which is likely the soonest Jake would be in the Bigs.

Tiger bullpen is still not great, but barring a collapse, Detroit will win the ALC and get to the postseason. At that point, Drew Smyly returns to the bullpen. A bully of Chamberlain, Smyly, Soria and hopefully a rejuvenated Nathan can close out the 7-8-9 innings in a playoff game pretty well.

Yeah -- not too excited about trading away Jake Thompson. Hopefully Soria can step in and help solidify the bullpen though.
