Anyone remember Belle's Laundry in Norman? Ma Belle was so popular with the football players, Bary Switzer let her watch the games on the sidelines. Everybody loved Ma Belle. Well, one time Jimbo hadn't paid his cleaning bill for a long, long time and he was not going to pay it. Nobody knew why. That was just Jimbo being Jimbo. Coach Hochevar heard about it and went ballistic. He found Jimbo, put him in the car and drove him to Belle's Laundry and told him he was going to work it off. He asked Ma Belle how much Jimbo owed. It was a lot......close to $100. Coach told Jimbo that should be worth about a week's labor. The weather was hotter than hell and for a week (7 days to Coach Hochevar) Jimbo worked on the steam press sweating his ass off. He took it like a man, laughed when everybody gave him shit about it and from then on insisted that Ma Belle sit with him on the sidelines after the first team had been pulled. RIP Jimbo.
