I'd love to hear what @HammerDown syndrome has to say about this? After all he constantly reminded us how the NE FO made a big mistake keeping the most over rated, old, system QB with *6 SB rings over Jimmy G.

Sanders is okay but he isn't a #1 go to guy. He's a good veteran presence for Samuel and Bourne who struggled some before he got there. Garrapolo's go to is Kittle and that isn't likely to change anytime soon. The young guys may develop though and this playoff experience should help them.

He doesn't suck, he makes some nice throws... I think he's just doing what the coaching staff wants him to do, not a lot of improv... But you can't argue with his record since becoming the 49rs starter, he's done the job he's been asked to do ... Mahomes though is light years ahead of him, he's all improv, he's one of those guy's that can make something happen when a play breaks down, I don't know if that's Jimmy's thing.. But time will tell, he's got time to show more as his career moves forward...

Mahomes didn't look great either. Especially on those INTs. The first one was terrible. How did he not see that LB?

Mahomes is still one of the top QBs and will be. But had SF's D played better and not given up that big pass play maybe everyone here would be signing a different song.

Shanny should be more to blame. Jimmy G played well enough to win but unfortunately got flustered late.

Good game and season to both teams.

Time to see if SF pulls a Rams and Eagle follow up next season?

This is so freaking obvious. It was a crap throw, and he will have chances to make them in the future. But the whole narrative changes if he just connects on one throw and then Andy Reid is the biggest choker ever and Mahomes is soft and Shanahan is the new Belicheck
