I don't think the Bowls will ever go away, however, I was totally interested in the games and results. Do you guys feel the same way? This system is superior to the BCS and going forward they need to find a way to include all P5 conferences and at large Indy or Mid-majors with the reward of a great season records. If this Playoff ever expands, then there is no need to wait 1 month to play these games.

You leave FSU out b/c of how bad they struggled in their weak conference. BSU and TCU were left out of the BCS title games due to them playing a MWC schedule and finished undefeated. Same could have applied to FSU, IMO....

Polls, overall records OR brand name teams may not reflect a "true champion" at all by years end. I like the "eyeball test" the best.

Florida State wasn't that bad


They were very competitive and probably were the better team in the 1st half


It just went sideways with horrible turnovers in the 3rd quarter. Almost freakish turnovers...


And the turnovers were killers on great Florida State drives, AFTER 1st downs and big plays

It is one thing if Oregon is blasting through the line and forcing sack-fumbles, but it is silly self inflicted stuff to fumble 20+ yards down field after big plays.


Had the idiotic FSU freshman just went down instead of struggling for extra yards, who knows....

Oregon is a very good team. You are not going to beat them if you suddenly start fumbling the ball needlessly after big positive plays.

In retrospect, TCU was probably better than FSU, BUT you can't exclude the defending champs who go 13-0 in a Power5 conference, right? So there was nothing else to do.

TCU lost to Baylor, Baylor lost to Michigan State, 42-41.

TCU beat K State, K State is losing to UCLA 31-6 at Halftime.

Based on this evidence, either TCU is a tad bit over-rated, or the Big 12 is really over-rated in 2014.

I wasn't impressed with the big. The lack of a true conference champion or a CCG makes it really hard to make a case for them. The weak division and bowl performances against the rest of the power 5 really shows the right teams were chosen
