They built the stadium when the Chargers moved from L.A to san diego. Murphy was the guy that convinced them to do it so they named it after him, but when they did the massive renovation in 97 they changed it to Qualcomm...

Nope it's definitely the same one, they just spent a little under 100 million dollars renovating the place in 97 so yeah. I like to get down for at least one game a year but I didn't this year Anybody want to buy me a SB ticket and a flight to Miami? Pretty sure they'll be playing there this year!
