By week 6 the 9ers will announce a trade for Chip for any Household appliance they have to offer (working or not).

I have a hard time believing this report. I just can't imagine a team turning down a deal that ridiculous.

The drop to Philly's pick was too far. In reality, that offer isn't much different from the Rams/Redskins trade, and that was only to move up a few picks (3 1sts and a 2nd to move from #6 to #2). The Eagles were trying to move from #20 to #2. By the draft pick value chart, that's a difference of 1750 pts (essentially the value of 3 future 1sts), while the Skins/Rams difference was only 1000 pts.

While Fletcher Cox is a great get, future 1sts are valued as 2nd rounders in the value chart (partially due to not knowing where they will fall, and partly due to the year lost). Bradford is a below average NFL QB. So that is essentially the #20 pick, two 2nd rounders, a meh QB at best, and Cox for the #2 pick overall? That's not good enough value for a team set to draft their franchise QB.

There's a reason why teams rarely trade up into the top 5 from deep in the first round.
