he was already a free agent it was just a decision to whether to bring him back or not which didn't look likely to happen in the first place

Never forget it.

Burned Aaron Glenn and Roy Williams. Twice. I remember Williams mumbling stuff to his other secondary teammates after he got toasted the second time.

I hope they honor him in the Ring of Fame. He deserves it. He hung in here and played his heart out during some very difficult years.

A really great skin. As already mentioned, one of my all time great memories in the Boys game with 2 TDs late from Brunell.

He will most certainly be honored in the ring. Spent about 10 years here and the 3 he spent in New York was with no accolades or flair. He is, was and always will be a Skin. Unfortunate he did spend his years here however. With a better team he had the talents to be a HOF'er.

Yes a very good Redskins for a number of years. Those 2 TDs against Dallas will never be forgotten. But it's time.

Thanks Tana.

Writing was on the wall. One of my all time favorite Redskins. One of the best free agent signings in a mire of crappy ones.

any other team, he's a HOF guy. But he's our hero, and helped the city with Sean Taylor who no doubt was going to be the next Ed Reed.

Although the overwhelming sentiment Seems to be towards a ring of honor induction, I'm not so sure that the organization will indeed induct him. No one will forget some of the great plays that he was involved in, but I'm betting that within the organization some also won't forget bone headed ones either. More important, if you really think about the receivers in the ring as the standard, does he really measure up against players like Taylor, Mitchell, Monk and Clark?

Guys, if he gets in it's gonna take a determined grass root effort to get him there.

He ranks right up there with these 4 guys on average. Plus, Moss had the benefit of playing with Grossman, Campbell, Beck ,, should I continue? Because I can. Moss never played on a team here with a strong front line yet he measures up stat wise with the above mentioned. He also was a favorite of Snyders. Money in the bank he is honored one day.

Redskins.com | Ring of Fame

Good point OpenTo. Also - as per above - we are talking about the Ring of Fame here not the NFL HOF. The criteria is not near as strict. Look at some of the names on that list (e.g. Rypien, Mann, Kilmer, Harvey, etc). Several of those were never considered to be HOF material, but belong on this list. Moss probably fits into the same category.
