I will say that I've seen more outside money invested into Columbia, MO in the past few years than the previous 15-20 before it. I dont believe any notion that Mizzou is going to stay down just with how markets work. At some point, they'll be undercutting other institutions at every level and the numbers will come back.

In conclusion, thank you SEC for taking Mizzou.

MIZZWHO is loving it. Took them 11 years to win their first division title in the Big 12 and only year 2 to win their 1st division title in the "toughest conference in the country". Hell, they went back to back in that shitty division.

Unlikely to be a death sentence for Mizzou, but you are taking a huge hit from it.

I will say that the one good thing about Mizzou has been the fans. They have been fired up about being in the SEC. I hate that the institution is such a cluster F*** right now.

I figured they would be loving it because they are no longer in a conference that's falling apart due to the greed of another school.

You do know that Missouri won like 3 Big12 North Titles (2007, 2008, and 2010). It wasn't like they weren't winning in the Big12.

You do know the Big 12 north was a ducking joke once Nebraska fell off the map, right?

I was at the 1975 game in Columbia when Joe Washington scored on a 75 yard run to put the Sooners within 1 point, then Joe scored on a two point conversion to save a National Championship season. What a crowd at Missouri! I saw more whiskey bottles in that stadium during that game than another other two games put together in my whole life. Unbelievable. Some guy behind us kept cheering the whole game for the Missouri QB, Steve Pisarkiewicz who was a hell of a player, to move their offense down the field while constantly slapping my Dad on the back and saying "watch this, Okie!". We laughed our asses off when Pisarkiewicz finally threw a late interception that killed them and that guy behind us jumped up and shouted "fucking pollock!".

Same reason they had success in the SEC East. But they were playing above average back then.
