There are no hard rules on how to make the playoffs. There are hard rules on how to make the CCG. That is what you aim for not some invitation.

I definitely believe in the law of diminishing return. Seen it too often in many places. I've watched golfers beat balls on the range for hours and get worse. The more they practiced (usually the wrong way) the worse they got.
